Have u checkd on bdmhistoricalrecords.govt.nz?Found Hori George Rau, died 1982,age 63. Was his wife & your grandmother known as Ringii? She died 1985, born 1.9.1911.
Have you asked Tutata Matatahi at Waahi? She probably knows that side.
Found no Uerata, you might be best to contact some of them in the whitepages.

Tena koe e hoa he mihi maioha ki a koe , heio e pa ana ki to tirohanga He Wharerarauhe toku whanau, aka Rota No Ngati Hua, Upon searching for my grandfathers Whakapapa I discovered that our surname was originally Wharerarauhe and my koro's Great Grandfather was Hori Wharerarauhe,of Ngati Hua (Waikato) according to the Death Certificate I ordered for my grt grt koro, Hori's son, My tupuna decided one day that he didn't want to be a Wharerarauhe so he opted for Rota anyway I'm wondering if you are looking for the same whanau. and if so you may be able to help me.

Kia ora I am doing a search on my great grandfather whose name was Paora Wharerarauhe. He moved to taranaki and married my great grandmother Mary Annie Thompson (Tamihana). The pakeha could not pronounce his name and it changed from Wharerarauhe to Hari then to Harris. In New Plymouth he was know as Tommy/Thomas Harris. My grandfather was William David (Toka) Harris.
I have a couple of photo's of the tipuna. Any information would be great. Nga mihi, Debbie Tipiwai
